"Artemi's House"
The region

The village of Kipi (or Bagia) is situated 800 meters above the sea level and is 38 km from Ioannina. It is built on a hill just before Vikos canyon. Some years ago it was the capital of Central Zagori. The village was named after the gardens of the river banks of Bagiotiko. It houses the police station, the county court, the land registry etc.

Today there is a great tourist development in the village, since it offers many sights and rich architectural heritage. Many old, stone bridges of the region as well as mansion houses of the last century, the picturesque little taverns and coffee shops, the Cultural Museum of Agapios Tolis who has collected in 10 rooms 40.000 items from the rich cultural heritage of Zagori, the stone fountains and many more are an attraction pole for the visitor.
